State Department Spokesperson-The secretary does not use that type of language
by Nathan'ette Burdine: October 6, 2017

A couple of hours after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson didn’t deny calling President Donald Trump a “moron,” Tillerson decided that he better send somebody out there to the media to deny what he didn’t deny during his press conference.

The unlucky person tasked with this responsibility to deny what "slipped" Tillerson’s mind was none other than U.S. State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert.

Nauert stood in front of the podium, at the State Department and said this, “The Secretary does not use that type of language. The secretary did not use that type of language to speak about the president of the United States. He does not use that language to speak about anyone.”

Now, I’ma just say this. I agree that Donald Trump is a “moron.” Bless his heart. The poor thing can’t help but do wrong because he just doesn’t know what he’s doing.

So, Tillerson reportedly calling Trump a “moron” doesn’t bother me and it also doesn’t bother me if Tillerson curses. Hell, I curse! We all do!

But what I found concerning is the fact Tillerson had Nauert to say what he could have said a couple of hours ago during his press conference that he called to address the NBC report that he called Trump a “moron.”

Tillerson could have easily told everybody that he didn’t call the president of the United States a “moron.”

But, he didn’t. Instead, the secretary of state decided to use that time to rail against the media for what he called “pettiness.”

As far as Tillerson is concerned, the media is petty not because they reported “fake news” about him calling Trump a “moron,” but because the media folks behaved like elementary age children and tattle tale on him to the American people.

It wasn’t until folks started talking about the fact that Tillerson never denied the reports that he called Trump a “moron” that Tillerson decided that he better send someone out to deny what he didn’t deny.

And that-folks-is the problem, Tillerson hiding behind his spokesperson whom he chose to say what he could have easily said; which is he didn’t call Trump a “moron.”
